CSA Research's CEO Insights reflects on How GenAI is Transforming the Language Services Industry
CSA Research just published the 7th edition of its CEO Insights, in which 12 executives at leading Language Services Providers (LSPs), and members of CSA Research Leadership Councils, share their insights and perspectives on relevant topics for the industry.
This time, the topic was AI and how it is – unavoidably - affecting the language services industry.
A newcomer to the industry, but a veteran in the tech space, Bertrand Gstalder shared his own fresh perspective on the topic and sheds light on how Acolad is adapting to the new reality. As Language Service Providers (LSPs) strive to navigate the maze of new tools and approaches, he emphasizes the impact on supply chain and service evolution, as well as the advent of a new set of skills that are essential for Language Services and Content professionals.
Mark Evenepoel, former CEO of Amplexor and still a consultant for the Acolad group, echoed Bertrand Gstalder’s statement, adding his own views on the topic. “Besides Machine Translation we’ve used AI to assess and transform content as well as to select the right human resource to perform tasks. While we continue to improve the use of technology, we keep identifying opportunities for automation allowing humans to focus on what really matters.”- said Evenepoel. “(…) I view it more as an evolution than a disruption for the industry.”
