Amplexor, an Acolad company, has been awarded the enterprise content management contract by the European Parliament (EP), which includes a 10-year framework agreement, representing an initial estimate of €10.8 million in revenue.
The contract encompasses the development and implementation of an electronic records management system (ERMS) based on OpenText Documentum technologies for the preservation of records until their transfer to the historical archives. The new ERMS is set to cater more than 7,000 EP users directly, but also to many IT systems of the Parliament. All ECM related services for the EP will also be ensured by Amplexor, including the migration of data from the current records management system, maintenance and technical assistance, training of end-users, consultancy, configuration, customization and client application development, as well as service management.
Amplexor was selected as the winner out of the final three digital solution providers who participated in the invitation-to-tender procedure. The invitation was launched in June last year and initially included five potential candidates.
With a long-standing relationship with governmental and public organizations, this wasn’t the first large-scale project won with EU institutions. Last year, we launched capacity4dev.eu, a Drupal-based knowledge sharing platform for the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO). Earlier in the end of 2016, and for the third time in a row, Amplexor secured the renewal of €36 million translation contract with the European Commission for the Technical Regulation Information System (TRIS) project.
