FAQ
What is on-site interpreting?

On-site interpreting is delivered by a human interpreter physically present at the location of the interaction. It’s used when presence, accuracy and nuance are critical: depositions, clinical consultations, asylum interviews, HR conversations and executive meetings.

When should I choose on-site over phone or video?

On-site, also called in-person interpreting, is the right choice when physical presence is required by the setting, by law, or by the stakes. Over-the-phone and video remote interpreting suit interactions where speed, scale or routine access are the priorities.

What is consecutive interpreting?

Consecutive interpreting alternates between speaker and interpreter. The speaker delivers a segment, pauses, the interpreter renders it, then the speaker continues. Standard for depositions, clinical interactions and small-group meetings.

What certifications do on-site interpreters need?

It depends on the context. Sworn interpreters per jurisdiction for legal proceedings, US federal or state court certifications for US court interpreting, domain-specialist credentials for clinical or asylum work, ISO 18841 at the service level.

How far in advance should on-site interpreting be booked?

Standard bookings 48 to 72 hours in advance. Complex assignments need one to two weeks. Urgent bookings within 24 hours are possible with our standby network, or even faster for emergency services, urgent hearings or unplanned sessions.

Can on-site interpreting be delivered across multiple countries?

Yes. EU, UK, US and major business hubs globally. One contract, one project manager, one billing process.
