Acolad sponsors GEF Startup weekend for the fourth year running

10 May 2022

The Acolad group will be proudly sponsoring one of France’s more celebrated women entrepreneurship events, the GEF Startup weekend, for the fourth time in a row.

Organized by Grandes Ecoles au Féminin (GEF), the 8th edition of GEF Startup Weekend will take place on 14-15 May in Paris. The event consists of a 48h team marathon to create the start-up of tomorrow, based on ideas from women entrepreneurs – whatever their background - and developed by mixed gendered teams who will be supported and coached by mentors, investors and company founders.

Created in 2014 as a Hackathon-type challenge for women who wished to launch their startup the event proved such a success that GEF decided to make it an annual event, who has since been recognized for its staunch support of diversity, inclusion and entrepreneurship – values also deeply rooted in Acolad’s DNA.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be a sponsor of this event, as its core values are at the very heart of Acolad, who itself was built on individual entrepreneurship and deep belief that people’s skills are in no way tied to their gender, nationality, religion or professional background. It’s all about ideas and capabilities – and that’s what we are celebrating here.”, says Benjamin du Fraysseix, founder and board member of Acolad, who will be taking part in the event as part of the jury and presenting the prize to one of the winners.
