RWS, a global AI solutions company, has completed its acquisition of the Acogroup, the parent company of Acolad. As of November 2, 2026, Acolad is officially part of the RWS group, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both organizations, their people and their customers. The deal follows the completion of the social consultation process and receipt of all required regulatory approvals.

The acquisition strengthens RWS's presence across Europe and North America while extending the reach of its AI technology and platforms. By bringing together RWS's technology and content capabilities with Acolad's established enterprise customer relationships and recognized expertise in interpreting, transcription and regulated industries, the group is better positioned to address complex language and content challenges across markets.

For Acolad customers, the combination opens the door to RWS technologies and platforms, including the Cultural Intelligence Layer, Language Weaver Pro and Trados, alongside its growing portfolio of AI solutions.

Together, these complementary capabilities create new opportunities to develop AI-powered workflows for enterprise customers, including those operating in highly regulated environments. Combining advanced technology with specialist expertise and human oversight will help organizations deliver content that meets demanding requirements for quality, accuracy and cultural relevance.
