Description:

Ubiqus is seeking a detail-oriented and well-organized Planner for our Transcription department in our New York office.

Reporting to the Director of Production – Translations, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of complex translation projects across various industry verticals, including ones that involve multiple foreign languages and that require value-added services such as page layout, web localization, multimedia production and so on.

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for performing quality checks on documentation and ensuring timely completion of all projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform quality checks on outgoing transcription documents, correcting typos/errors and verifying accuracy against client audio and adherence to formatting guidelines

Ensuring completion and submission of all jobs by or before client deadline;

Ensuring that jobs are completed for lowest cost at highest quality

Providing advance warning to Sales Department where deadlines are threatened due to error or poor performance by vendors

Escalating problem jobs to senior members of the production department

Assessing work performance by freelance vendors, assisting in maintaining database of vendor quality

Processing and reconciling vendor invoices

Printing, binding, and packaging of client materials to prepare for shipment

Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to write correspondence. Command of the English language.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Proprietary Software and advanced knowledge of Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Word Processing Software (Word).

Salary Range for this role is: $35,000-$40,000
