Are you looking for a new challenge? Acolad is looking for a Middleware Team Leader to join our dynamic IT team in our Oeiras office. This is a permanent position offering exciting opportunities for career advancement.

As a Middleware Team Leader at Acolad, you will be responsible for the following:

• Overseeing the deployment and life cycle management of business applications.
• Defining application architectures that meet the needs of the organization.
• Writing technical and functional documentation that is clear and concise.
• Ensuring smooth ramp-up of various business applications and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Developing cutting-edge web platforms that are responsive and user-friendly.
• Utilizing your expertise in programming languages such as Java and SQL to create seamless and robust applications.
• Monitoring applications to ensure optimal performance and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Soft Skills:

• Proven experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team of around 5 members.
• Ability to present ideas and solutions to stakeholders while considering business benefits and costs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to translate technical language into business benefits.
• Proficiency in Lean IT / DevOps practices would be advantageous.
• Experience working collaboratively across functional and technical teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in cloud technology, specifically AWS, with some Azure knowledge.
• Proficient in SSO and security knowledge based on X.509 certificates.
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure As Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong database knowledge, including modern platforms such as Postgres.
• Programming proficiency in languages such as Python.
